Gyeongbokgung Palace was originally built a really Gyeongbokgung Palace was originally built a really, really long time ago. 1395, to be exact. Centuries of war and conflict led to the near complete destruction of the palace, with only a few buildings surviving the Japanese occupation and Korean War. In 1989, restoration work began and continues. Nowadays, the palace is a peaceful place where visitors can stroll through the gardens and courtyards. Many visitors wear #hanbok (traditional Korean dress), which makes this place feel a little more magical ✨ #seoul #tentotokyo

What 👏 a 👏 ride. It took us 10 months across What 👏 a 👏 ride. It took us 10 months across 10 countries but we arrived at our goal: Spring in Tokyo. What started as an idea to “take off and travel” back in mid-2017 turned into real talk when we booked our flight to London as a Christmas gift that year. London turned into Amsterdam turned into Stockholm turned into Croatia, Athens, Sri Lanka, Bali, Sydney, New Zealand ... and now we’re here. (Actually, we’re in Seoul now but you get the gist.) If you asked either of us two years ago if we imagined living and working around the world, it would’ve been a pipe dream. It wasn’t always easy—it required selling a car, packing up two apartments, purging stuff, switching and quitting jobs, starting an online business, a ton of research, frequent red eye flights, and early morning/late night calls across time zones. But we wouldn’t trade these moments for the world. The point is: you’re capable of making the impossible ... possible. See ya in 24 days, California ✌️ Erika & Matt #tentotokyo
